The other day I got to thinking about Teacher Appreciation gifts for Munchkin's two teachers. He is always going on and on about them after I pick him up from "school" (Kids Day Inn). Well since they have taught him so many new and fun things I thought we'd make them something special.
I got the crayon idea off {where else but} Pinterest. And since I love my glue gun, I figured that was the easiest way to go. Except about an hour after I glued the crayons on, they started to fall off... And then when I tried to glue them back on, they started to melt AHHHHH! I wanted to scream. So I tossed those melted crayons and cleaned the new colors off my glue gun and started again. But this time right after I glued them on, I immediately glued the ribbon on to kind of help keep them attached. {Fingers crossed they stay till after delivery.} After the crayons and ribbon I added a large flower to cover the seams. The cross and flower in the vase are popsicle sticks covered with ribbon {thank you glue gun, again}. And then the candy with the teacher's initial sticker on everything. And to top it off, a gift card to Target.
I really hope they like them. Now I just have to wrap them and deliver them on Munchkin's last day of school THIS WEEK!!
I cannot believe next year he'll be in preschool... And that he'll have a sibling... Oh, we find out the sex on the 30th of this month!! Still debating on how we are going to tell everyone... Ideas?
